I'm doing a presentation (next week!) on the emphasis of different religions on helping humanity and have been having trouble finding resources for Buddhism. What are the views in Buddhism about helping others, giving charity, encouraging the idea of 'we are all one people'. Since I need to back it up with actual facts, I'm looking for some widely accepted concepts of for example charity, or quotes from Buddha himself or and religious literature. I want to be accurate about this so your help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
